April Flowers

We planted spring bulbs last fall for the first time and have been eagerly watching the plants come up this spring. The tulips are all in bloom right now and they are beautiful.

The mini-daffodils are coming now and our Dutch iris have yet to commit to blooming, but we hope they will!

Spring Planting

When we spent many autumn evenings transforming our front flowerbed from ugly and neglected to well-cared-for and fertile, we fully anticipated planting a shade-loving garden there this year.

Turns out we're raising kids instead.

Flying Season

The RC flying season officially started this week, and we went twice. As became the tradition last year, Zeke got out the orange cones immediately.

And he had fun in the dirt and the grass.

And then Aaron flew the plane.

The club also had an event over the weekend.

And, in addition to seeing RC planes, there was this really cool ultralight that flew over too.

Colors of Easter

We colored eggs this morning. It was short and sweet, and Zeke had a lot of fun.

He learned how to pick up the egg (you have to go under it, not push down on the top of it!) but it still took a lot of concentration. This is Zeke 'saying cheese' while holding his egg.
