More Fun Fall Photos

We did get out to take more fall pictures and play in the leaves before the cold wind blew all the leaves off the trees this week. Here is that beautiful maple outside our window. After this fall, I've decided that maple leaves are the best. They are big and crunchy so they pile up well and are tons of fun to walk through, jump in, throw...

Zeke covering himself and Nora in leaves.

Love that Nora is holding out a leaf.

I got some cute singles this time too. I had a hard time deciding which pictures of Nora to post because they are all so cute!

Fun Fall Photos

There's a maple outside my window that I have been watching turn from green to yellow and start dropping leaves. It's been so pretty. I have been thinking about taking some pictures of the kids and the leaves (remember last year - oh how things have changed!), and so one day we went out before lunch to snap some pictures. Nora just wanted to wander away, but she was good to let me place her, then to sit back down and so I could take a quick picture. After 3 times she and I were both done playing that game, but all 3 photos turned out cute.

I didn't notice it at first, but Grandma pointed out that they are making the same faces in the pictures. We'll see if they keep it up in the next set; I hope to take a few more in the next week or so when things are a little less green.

Furry Friend

We had a fuzzy little jack rabbit visitor for a few days last week. He hung out in the flowerbeds and under the trees and cars for a couple of days and then must have moved on, because we haven't seen him since.

The Toddler Stage

I had forgotten about all the craziness of the new toddler stage. Those times in the grocery store where we can't really carry her because she's heavy and wiggly, but as soon as you put her down she runs off. Or she insists on pushing the cart and gets upset when you stop to pick up another item.

She loves the fridge, and gladly sits on the bottom rearranging the condiments. She loves the dishwasher too, particularly pulling things out. And she makes a run for the outdoors whenever a door opens.

She is such a happy girl, as long as teething or tiredness isn't getting to her. She smiles a lot, laughs easily, and is a total ham for the camera.

Nora loves climbing into things and sitting on anything that is just her size (stools, stairs, mom & dad's laps...). She also loves pulling things out of the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen. The plastic items out of the recycle bin are some of her favorite toys, and if you need a measuring cup or stirring spoon you first have to search the house to find it, then wash it, before you can use it.

Another favorite pastime is putting things in and out. (Like the cotton balls.) She also loves carrying bags and baskets around. Totally adorable!

Fun this Summer

Summer probably technically ended a few weeks ago when it started getting dark and cool early in the evening, but the days have been warm. Autumn is here, as evidenced by the leaves piling up on our patio. But before we get to that, a few more pictures of some fun things we did this summer that haven't already been shown.

Zeke discovered sand castles.

Irrigation day water fun.

Swinging in the park.

Sunflowers - lots and lots of them this August.
