Growing and Gaining

Nora wasn't many hours old when I realized that there was just no stopping her from growing up, starting immediately. While I'm looking forward to getting to know her better and seeing her achieve milestone after milestone, I know how fast Zeke has grown and I wouldn't mind slowing things down a bit!

Sunday afternoon I was taking a few pictures because it was her first time at church and thus her first time in the cute dress Grandma L gave her. This is our adorable Miss Nora at almost 3 weeks old (20 days).

In reviewing the pictures, I pushed the 'forward' button and it took back me to the oldest picture on the camera - Nora at 4 days old.

There's the photographic proof: Nora growing up is not only unavoidable, it has already begun. I personally think she gets cuter every day!

Ahh, Naptime

Thank goodness for naptime! Necessary for both kids and parents.

Swiss Days

Zeke was so excited to ride the Loertscher train in the parade. He carefully chose the red caboose car to ride in, which he shared with his cousin Ashlynn.

And this is what Nora did while we watched the parade. She slept through motorcycles, police sirens, big trucks, and tractors. Only the bell on the classic fire engine caused her to stir a little.

Such a Brother!

Zeke has settled into the big brother role with no problems at all. He helps us take care of Nora, he loves to hold and comfort her, he makes sure we know what she is doing at every moment ---- and he likes to bother her and see how she reacts. Poking her while she's asleep, dropping the burp cloth on her head, shaking the boppy as she tries to eat, trying to climb on the play yard when she is in it...and he thinks it's really funny. It's a good thing we have the play yard, otherwise the poor girl would be completely defenseless. Of course, she's a pretty good little sister too - today Zeke just looked at her and she started to cry.

At least they seem to spend more time being cute than being irritating!
