Food Frenzy

About a month ago Nora's pediatrician gave us the go ahead to give her 'sample solids' once or twice a day. We were excited and figured she would be too. It took a week or so to get some cereal, so in that time we had her in the high chair for meals if she was awake, and she loved it (as long as we kept her entertained, which Zeke is rather skilled at).

Her first rice cereal experience was an interesting one. She got the whole concept of opening her mouth for the spoon and even wanted to help us feed her, but she wasn't impressed with the fare. At first I thought she just didn't like the cereal (Zeke hated it), but it turns out it was the texture. She likes thicker cereal just fine.

So she has cereal in the morning and a fruit or veggie at dinner. So far, veggies are preferable to fruits and Italian wedding soup carrots are much better than plain carrots.

Saturday Nora had a great time mushing a pancake and making a mess.

And last night she fell asleep in the middle of her avocado.
